Modena Silver Porcelain Projects

The Modena Porcelain paving range has been a firm favourite of our customers for over a decade. Indeed, of the three colours in this range, Modena Silver Grey Porcelain has been a consistent best seller. The cool silver-grey tones bring light to outdoor spaces, providing a neutral backdrop for planting.

Below are some of our projects with Modena Silver Grey Porcelain where it compliments both contemporary and rural settings. The first was designed and built by Green Art – one of Berkshire’s best garden design and landscaping companies.

So many new builds now have anthracite doors and windows, and we are frequently asked which tile will work best with this colour. Whilst a darker tile can match this very well, using a lighter grey contrast helps to highlight the door frames. It also makes the outdoor space an inviting place to be.

The Modena Silver Grey porcelain tile was the perfect solution to bring a fresh modern look to this garden, without being clinical or cold looking. This Italian porcelain tile imitates natural stone, with elegant and subtle patterning adding interest when used over a substantial area.

The slightly quirky tile size of 1000 x 500mm gives an elongated look, giving the garden the illusion of being bigger than it is.

There can often be concern that using a porcelain tile can look too sharp and
modern in a rural setting. While many porcelain tiles suit ultra-modern projects, Modena Silver porcelain paving proves its versatility.

In this example, we paired it with traditional red brick, so it sits comfortably within a rural setting framed by surrounding fields and trees.

Here, Alda Landscapes has used Modena Silver porcelain paving to achieve a private, enclosed area to relax in this lovely sun trap. In particular, the cool grey tones compliment the soft planting and timber screening perfectly.
