The surface is ground using progressively finer diamond abrasives to achieve a smooth, matte finish, which reduces light reflection and highlights natural veining with clarity.

This interior finish combines a smooth honed surface with softly weathered edges. The stone is first honed to achieve a smooth matte surface, then tumbled to gently distress edges and corners. A honed & tumbled finish suits heritage properties, as it creates warmth and understated elegance with a hint of aged charm.

First, the stone is sandblasted at high pressure to add texture, followed by light brushing with rotary diamond brushes to soften the effect. This two-stage process results in increased slip resistance while retaining a comfortable tactile quality, which performs beautifully in bathrooms, utility rooms and relaxed interior spaces.
