  • Antique Fossil Pearl Dijon Limestone is a traditional stone widely used in outdoor landscaping projects. Indeed, quarried in Egypt, it has been used in construction for centuries and, as such, it remains a trusted material for durable outdoor paving.

This stone displays warm beige tones with both visible fossils and fine quartz veining; the tumbled and etched finish softens the edges and creates a gently aged appearance. As a result, the stone suits both heritage landscapes and contemporary garden designs. Professionals regularly specify the material as cut to size paving for patios, terraces and paths; it also performs well for steps and copings due to its density and strength, and its neat, traditional finish. Wall cladding is another effective application, particularly for garden features.

Importantly, the lightly textured surface provides reliable grip underfoot. Furthermore, the stone handles weather exposure and heavy foot traffic with ease. Therefore, it delivers long-term performance in demanding outdoor environments.

  • Following installation, we recommend sealing limestone to improve performance and longevity. Specifically, apply a high quality breathable sealer to reduce porosity and prevent stains. As a result, you restrict liquid ingress and minimise surface wear in high traffic or external areas.

For ongoing care, maintain the surface with a routine dry sweep and also periodic cleaning using a pH neutral stone cleaner. However, avoid acidic or harsh compounds, as they compromise the calcite structure. In addition, schedule resealing according to site exposure and usage levels. Consequently, with correct maintenance, this stone will deliver long term wear and a consistent appearance.
