  • Chelmer Valley Amersham clay pavers bring timeless style with their rich charcoal grey finish. These premium brick pavers combine elegance with exceptional strength. As a result, they create striking pathways, patios, driveways and edging that enhance any landscape. The deep charcoal grey tone offers modern sophistication while still blending with traditional settings. Moreover, the colour provides contrast that highlights planting, limestone features and surrounding architecture. Because of this, you achieve a balanced and refined outdoor look.

Although crafted from clay, these Dutch pavers complement limestone beautifully. Limestone delivers natural warmth, durability and low maintenance. Therefore, when paired with charcoal grey brick paving, the result is a durable surface with strong visual appeal. In addition, clay pavers withstand heavy use and weathering, maintaining their beauty over time. Their textured surface also provides slip resistance, which increases safety in all seasons.

Choose Chelmer Valley Amersham clay paving in charcoal grey for elegance, durability and versatility. With their bold colour and lasting quality, they remain a trusted choice for transforming outdoor spaces. View the full Chelmer Valley clay pavers collection here.

  • Caring for Clay Paving

Clay paving is built to stand the test of time, but a little regular maintenance helps it look its best year after year. To keep your pavers clean, use an alkaline cleaner such as Lithofin Algex – especially useful in shaded or damp areas where moss or algae can build up. Gently scrubbing or brushing the surface can help lift dirt before rinsing it away. A jet wash works well too, just remember to keep the nozzle at a 45° angle to avoid damaging the joints between the pavers. After cleaning, check the joints and top up with kiln-dried sand if necessary to maintain stability and appearance.

One of the great advantages of clay pavers is that they don’t require sealing to stay attractive or functional. Their natural durability and rich colour hold up beautifully over time. However, in certain areas – like driveways or sloped pathways – a stabilising sealant can be beneficial. It helps lock the jointing sand in place, especially during the early stages after installation, or in areas prone to heavy rain or erosion. If you do choose to seal, go for a breathable, non-glossy product designed specifically for clay to preserve the natural look.
