A Unique Shaped Swimming Pool Project with Bespoke Swimming Pool Coping’s

In a world where straight lines and right angles are the norm for swimming pool design, this project defies conventions by having no single straight coping.

The asymmetrical shape referred to on site as the ‘kidney bean’ proposed a challenge for us and Prestige Swimming Pools to template.

After initial discussions and site visits,  the measurements taken were used to create a CAD drawing.  Once confirmed, the client’s chosen tile Premio Perla Porcelain was cut to size using a Waterjet Cutter.

Waterjet cutting stone to create copings allows us to cut to the exact dimensions of your design. The waterjet cutting machine is CNC controlled ensuring absolute accuracy by following your own computer aided designs. Although some parts of coping manufacture must be completed by hand, by choosing a computer aided waterjet you can produce complex designs with very fine tolerances.

Meaning that when your bespoke copings fit easily on site saving time and money with installation costs.

The cut tiles where then bullnosed by hand make it comfortable and safe to enter and exit the pool. More information on different types of stone profiling can be found here.

The client chose our Premio Perla Porcelain to use for the copings and surrounding paving. This tile has been a firm favourite with designers and home owners we have supplied for over 10 years now.

This tile is a faithful recreation of natural limestone paving but gives you all the maintenance benefits associated with porcelain paving.

Much like the majority of our porcelain tile range we also supply this tile in an indoor version.  Allowing customers who wish to achieve continuity between their indoor and outdoor living spaces.
